☆ River Hut ☆ Along side the Enchanted river and within walking distance of the famous Cambugahay Falls, our cabin offers a native bamboo retreat for ADVENTURE-SEEKING travelers.
The cabin provides a secluded space to enjoy the peacefulness of surrounding nature while offering convenient proximity to some of the Islands most beautiful attractions and some of Siquijors' best kept secrets..
This spot requires walking a steep Jungle path to our riverside area. Around 200-250m.
The space
The house is self standing and directly in front of the River. You will have the whole Riverside to yourselves but we also allow our other property access also so there may be other guests there sometimes.
Mosquitoes and Gnat Gnats are not a major issue here but its worthwhile mentioning that during rainy days they increase. We provide off-lotion and mosquito coils but anyone has allergies or big reactions to bites should be aware of this before booking. After all, its legitimate Jungle
As mentioned before. Please come prepared for a short hike. Its really not so bad but if you bring heavy luggage it will be substantially more challenging.
This is a provincial location so you can expect some tokos or gekos all over the island and around our location too. But they're totally harmless so don't panic. It's something you should expect when visiting the more rural areas of the Philippines.
Island life includes some brown outs from time to time. They don't usually last longer than an hour and we provide you with emergency lights and a battery backup to power the wifi if you can cope without connection
Guest access
You'll have a walk to get our cabin but thats the price to pay to wake up next to the turquoise blue waters all to yourselves. It not a bad compromise but not for the "pampered' or physically unfit traveler.
If ordering in food the local cafe will deliver for an extra fee :)
Other things to note
We have two big dogs called Ebony and Kodak that love to swim :) but they will most be out of your way unless you want to play.
If ordering in food you just need to make the cafe in the town know which house you stay in as there will be 100 charge for the river delivery.
On arrival, Its best you buy groceries before-hand so you can just relax in front of the river and chill when you get here.
